Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center Extends Research Grant Application Deadline

The Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language announced yesterday the extension of the application period for its research grants program until April 30th of this year. This decision aims to provide more time for researchers and creators wishing to participate, especially given the increasing interest in registering for the sixth edition of the program for 2026. This reflects the growing interest in the knowledge initiatives launched by the center and affirms its continuous commitment to supporting scientific research in the Arabic language and enhancing its presence across various fields of knowledge. The center called on researchers and interested individuals to take advantage of the program by filling out the application form on the center's official website in accordance with the approved terms and criteria, which will help attract robust research projects that contribute to the development of intellectual production in the Arabic language. The extension of the application period comes within the context of the center's keenness to accommodate this qualitative response and provide an opportunity for a wider range of researchers to participate, thereby enhancing the emirate of Abu Dhabi's status as a global hub for intellectual production in the Arabic language. The program annually offers between six and eight research grants, with a total value of up to 600,000 dirhams, for research that adheres to approved academic standards. It covers six main fields: Arabic lexicography, curricula, literature and criticism, applied and computational linguistics, teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and the critical edition of manuscripts.
